Since established in 1980, our company has experienced a hard evolution from young to the mature . Working team of the company is mostly highly educated with outstanding youth and liveliness. Colorful cultural activities are frequently organized within the enterprise which have been praised many times by both the municipal and provincial governments. Approved by the provincial government in 1998, the company was renamed as Guangzhou Textiles Holdings Limited formed by 18 solely owned, shareholding ,joint venture and alliance companies.
Development Evolution
With the hardwork of GTHL people of several generations, GTHL has enlarged from some scores of people at the beginning to around 500 people, with her own office building as well as a modern storage house of 42000 sq meters, a skilled transportation team and 3 branches in Germany, Poland and Hongkong. The volume of import and export business was increased from 20 million USD in 1980 to 180 million in 1999. Export commodities enlarged from few categories to 47 categories, 300 types of products. Export markets extended from HK and southeast Asian countries to 70 countries all over the world.
Aug.1980, establishment of China National Textile Im.& Ex. Corporation Guangdong Branch Guangzhou Sub-branch.
In 1985, renamed as China National Textile Im. & Ex. Corporation Guangzhou Branch
In 1987, released from Chinatex and renamed as Guangzhou Textiles Im. & Ex. Corp; Guangtex office building being built without bank loans;and set up first oversea branch in Hongkong: Yuexiu Textiles Co., Ltd.
In 1989, Guangtex Storage House was on it's first base.
In March 1993, Guangtex Storage Company was established with a total occupied area of 40 mu, storage area 42,000 sq meters and a capacity of 40,000 tons. Other sub-companies were set up in the same year named Guangzhou Xianda Trade & Developing Co., Guangzhou Weili Trade Co., Guangzhou Guangde Storage Co.,Ltd, Guangzhou Junhui Trade Co., Guangzhou Jiegao Advertising Co., and Guangzhou Heyi Industry & Commerce Co.. The company was on its way to rapid development.
In 1994, 11 million RMB yuan extra investment was made to Zhoushan Guangli Fashion Garments Factory, setting up Guangli Textiles Co., Ltd. in a new location with total shareholding of the factory rising up to 50%.
In 1994, a great leap was made in managing scale. The company went into a high speed developing period, and set up the second oversea branch--Rader International Co.Sp.Zo.o in Poland. Our company was awarded the title "Best Guangzhou Civilization Unit."
In 1995, awarded “Guangdong Provincial Civilized Unit”by Guangdong Provincial Government
In 1996, ranking top first 100 of the largest 500 foreign trade enterprises.
In Oct 1996, finished all payment of Bank loans and became the first foreign trade enterprise in guangzhou, which was managed by its own funds. Rate of Assets/debts decreased from 78.32% in 1992 to 35% in 1996.
In 1997, the third oversea branch was set up in Germany---Patinka Imp. & Exp. GMBH. Our company was honored as "Model of civilized Units" in Guangdong province and "Model of Civilized Units in year 94-97" by GZ CPC Commission and municipality.
In 1998, our company was honored Class A Administrations Enterprise by Guangzhou Custom.
In Oct. 1998, approved by Guangzhou Municipality, our company was reshaped into Guangzhou Textiles Holdings Ltd. With the entrust of national assets, Guangzhou Foreign Economic Trade Service Corp., Guangzhou Modern Trade & Commercial Tactics Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Weili Trade Co., and Guangzhou Guangde Storage Co., Ltd. became sub companies of our enterprise. With a total registered assets of 100 million RMB yuan, Guangzhou Textiles Holdings Limited was founded.
In Jun. 1999, our company started to enjoy Class B Administrations for Return/Exempt Tariff of export commodities by Guangzhou Municipal Tax Bureau.
In Oct. 1999, enjoyal Class A Administrations as above.
